Chemical, Thermal & Mechanical

At ABL-Technic Werdohl, paint stripping activities are divided into two main categories: thermal and chemical paint stripping. Thermal paint stripping applies to products and objects made of steel and stainless steel as well as for the removal of rubber. We use chemical paint stripping when we are talking about materials made of steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium and plastic. In all cases, the following applies: With ABL-Technic Werdohl, we differentiate ourselves in paint stripping without limits.

Chemical process

During chemical paint stripping, the products are immersed in a heated liquid for a certain period of time. Depending on the raw material and the post-treatment at the customer's site, we make a selection from the various chemical baths. The material is then sprayed manually with high-pressure water. This technique is suitable for stripping all metals and various plastics. Products that need to be repainted are then preserved in an oil-water emulsion to prevent corrosion during transport and storage. It is also possible to blast the materials as a post-treatment. Chemical paint stripping is mainly used for discarded products from a paint shop and also for restoration/reuse purposes such as fences, garden furniture, shop fittings and façade panels.
